It's so sweet!

Honey, Jam and Syrup

About the Barefoot Beekeeper's delicious honey, jams, and syrups

Honey is Raw and unfiltered straight from the hive, hand spun from the comb without electricity or heat.

Wildflower honey is produced on the homestead where bees first pollenate the raspberries and then kindly share honey to sweeten the jam! Honey is also the only sweetener used in our elderberry syrup, a lovely dark and rich antioxidant blend straight from the Northwoods!

The bees are not moved to crops, they collect all varieties of local pollen and nectar to make a wildflower honey that's varied with the seasons.  In the spring, it may be apple and plum blossoms, and later in the fall goldenrod makes the most amazing honey.

Jams and Syrups:

Elderberries (Scandia MN) and blueberries (Star Prairie, WI)  are hand picked and destemmed. Raspberries (at home in Osceola, WI) are also hand picked.  No chemicals are sprayed on any of the fruit at any time and are never used to ripen the berries.

With the exception of our pineapple jam (hey, wouldn't that be nice!), almost all of our products are sourced within 25 miles of the homestead.   When used, sugar is purchased from Michigan, or organic sugarcane when available.  All glass jars and lids are sourced in the USA.  While we also advocate for a plastic-free world, honey is heavy and so is glass and costs a lot more. Some bee-lovers prefer plastic bottles for safety and squeezability.  We don't judge :)
